ASA - Level 4 Practitioner
The Advanced Certificate of Spirit Australia (ASA) is a professional level qualification, assessed by a live demonstration of your spiritual abilities.
It recognises your skill, dedication, and growing expertise in one of two specialisations: Psychic Mediumship or Trance & Spirit Arts.
This qualification prepares you to serve the community as a professional practitioner with integrity and confidence.

What You’ll Do

Personal Practice (250 hrs): Continue your regular study and practice, supported by a personal journal (not assessed).

Complementary Courses (20 hrs + 3 reports): Attend additional workshops, classes, or practice groups and reflect on three experiences.

Formal Assessments (approx. 300+ hrs):

Analytical Reflective Essay 1200 words or 15-min video.

Demonstration of One-to-One Psychic Mediumship or Trance & Spirit Arts.

Viva Voce: 25-minute oral interview (“Practitioner”).

Recognition & Progression
-
AQF Alignment: Level 4 Advanced Certificate (Cert IV) – approx. 1,200 hrs or one year full-time.

Professional Standing: Graduates are listed as Spirit Australia Practitioners (with membership).

National Map Listing: Eligible to be featured on Spirit Australia's national practitioner map.

Pathway Forward: This qualification prepares you for the Spirit Australia Level 5 Diploma (DSA - Teacher)
Entry Pathways & RPL

Prerequisite: Completion of CSA (Level 3 Certificate).

RPL Option: Experienced practitioners (minimum 5 years) may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Must show advanced knowledge of the six Foundation Units.

Assessments for RPL candidates include:

Demonstration (one-to-one mediumship or trance).

Viva Voce (25 mins).

Duration: 1 year full-time (approx. 1,200 hrs)

Cost: $1,200 enrolment & assessment fee + $35 annual membership (to maintain Teacher listing)

Payment Plan: $200 x 6 months

Prerequisite: CSA (Level 3) or via RPL

AQF Equivalent: Certificate IV (Level 5)

Are you enrolled in the Spirit Australia Certificate CSA (Level 3), Advanced Certificate ASA (Level 4) or Diploma DSA (Level 5) course and looking to have your 20 hours of Complementary Courses recorded in your student profile?
Use the links to log the hours and details of Complementary Courses completed within the last three years. Verification will be carried out by the Assessment Team once all CSA, ASA, and DSA requirements are complete, including the three Short Reports which accompany your course logs and are completed within your student portal. Your self-selected courses may be led by any experienced spiritual teacher or organisation, not just Spirit Australia. We actively encourage you to explore teachings beyond our own courses and we welcome the wisdom of diverse voices.
Complementary Courses tuition can have the following formats:

In person learning classes or workshops are ideal, as they allow for real-time energy exchange and community connection

Live online sesions are also acceptable, provided they are teacher-led and interactive
-
Pre-recorded or self-paced materials, while valuable in other contexts, do not count toward this requirement
