One Day Workshop
What level of experience or abililty is necessary?
The Spirit Australia One Day Workshop is open to everyone! Obviously, we hope you have an interest in the subject (otherwise why would you come?!) but literally "an interest" is all that you need. You might have done a meditation course, or had a psychic reading that left you intrigued, or you may just have a feeling that you'd like to come along and explore. At this workshop, all are welcome.
On the other hand, you may be very well travelled in the realm of spirit studies, perhaps over many years. In addition to welcoming newcomers, we are also eager to open our doors to more experienced practitioners who may now be seeking more community and openess than was usual in the past. We are all well aware that society has changed in the last few decades, on so many fronts. If you have been working with spirit for some time, please consider joining us at the new One Day Workshop. It is a small investment of time and money, and may bring large benefits to you personally and professionally.
Our doors are open wide and we welcome everyone to experience our warm, wise, and world-class opportunity to lean in to the wonderful world of energy.
Ok, that sounds good, so how about some further details on "what will happen at the workshop"?
On an Earthly level, you'll be able to enjoy a yummy lunch, plus morning and afternoon tea, and meet some new people who share your interest in learning new things. The rest is up to you; do as little or much as you like.
If you're feeling adventurous, there will be plenty to stimulate your mind, body and soul. Our published program is still being finalised but we already know there will be lots of interactive, experiential, expert demonstrations and conversations about the reality of worlds beyond our everyday levels of awareness. There's no pressure to participate. Just smile, relax and do what's right for you as we jump into the workshop together.
We will touch on many topics including psychic senses, evidential mediumship, trance states, channeling, sound healing, awareness of energy, using tools like tarot cards or pendulums, as well as more "left brain" topics such as professional conduct & cultural ethics, the roles of logic and science, near death experiences, and much more.
The One Day Workshop is a taste of what the flagship Five Day Seminar is like. Come along and try it out for yourself, on a smaller scale, before committing to a larger investment. Meet some people, expand your experiences, and see how it all feels for you.
We have structured the experiences to make sure there's something suitable for everyone, and you may be very surprised at how the day unfolds... What's that wise old saying? "You don't know what you don't know!"

What level of experience or abililty is necessary?
The five day residential workshop is immersive and intensive. It is not suitable for pure beginners, however if you are comfortable with things like extended meditation or other intuitive tools, you may be able to explore and integrate the level of experiences that are personally right for you. Please contact us if you want to discuss this further. We want everyone to feel good and comfortable, not struggling against the natural flow. Let's all celebrate being exactly where we are, each in our own unique journey!
Ok, yes agreed, so how about some further details on "experience or ability level"?
There are two streams of specialised education at the Five Day Seminar; Mediumship and Trance. We will sort out these specific small tutor-led classes together on the first morning, so please don't worry if you're unsure which stream is best for you at this stage. We also do lots of activites together as one large group, not just in the small tutor classes. There's plenty going on from 9am to 9pm each day. Here's some more information on the two streams:
The Mediumship stream is a great place to start. People will often hone their awareness of energy and their psychic senses first, and then move towards the goal of Mediumship. If you are aware of, and reasonably confident with tuning in to your psychic senses, then you are definitely not a beginner. You're ready for the Five Day Seminar and we'd love to welcome you. Our advanced mediumship classes are full of working professionals, so please don't feel you've nothing to gain or learn... We all know that's not how this works, agreed?!
For the Trance stream, you'll usually need to be of at least intermediate level with your psychic mediumship in order to access the non-ordinary states of consciousness and awareness. The trance states at our seminar are mostly passive (not inspired chanelling). While trance is often a gentle, beautiful and profound experience, this style of spirit communication may not suit some people's natural abilities or interests. Come along and sit in the energy of five days intensive communication with spirit, and take your connection to the next level.
I don't understand some of the terms used in the answers above, but I really want to come along. Is that ok?
