Spirit Australia Ltd was formally registered in 2023 as a public company limited by guarantee, governed by a national board of twelve people from across our beautiful country.

 

While our legal structure is new, the truth is Spirit Australia has been decades in the making, built on the integrity and support of long-standing relationships, shared values, and deep trust within the spiritual community.

After finalising our constitution, we began a rigorous application process with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). On the 2nd of April 2024, we were officially recognised as a charity for the purpose of Advancing Education—a landmark achievement we are proud of. You can view our financials and see clearly how we are working in service of our members and the wider Australian public.

We are particularly proud to have been recognised not as a religious organisation, but as one centred on the charitable purpose of Advancing Education. To our knowledge, Spirit Australia is the first spirit-based organisation in the world to receive this recognition from a national government.

Our educational purpose is at the heart of everything we do.

 

We believe that when education is delivered with clarity, integrity, and respect, it naturally builds community, raises standards, and supports excellence. We're aligning our Certificate, Advanced Certificate, and Diploma qualifications with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), setting a new benchmark in the field.

We also champion the many ethical, skilled, and community focused individuals working quietly and humbly across Australia; people whose good work can be often overshadowed by commercialism, inflated claims, or unaffordable services. Spirit Australia stands for transparency, ethics, and accessibility. Every member is guided by our comprehensive Code of Ethics & Conduct.

We are a public, not-for-profit, and non-religious organisation. And we’re here to help shine a light on the valuable, everyday work being done by people just like you.

​

Our founding board has been self-appointed (as all founding boards must be), and our first democratic elections will take place in June 2025 for two-year terms.

​

Now, as we establish our foundations, we warmly invite you to join us as a COMMUNITY member.

To make this as inclusive as possible, our proposed annual membership fee of $50 is currently waived, for 364 days.  

If you'd like to support our work financially by opting to pay a one-off donation of the full $50 membership, we deeply appreciate it.
